have you tried a different AV system maybe its the AV itself that's causing the issue.

yes ive done this and came up with the same results .

does your avast alert you before it does its actions (like when it detects a virus) or does it do the recommended action automatically? maybe it just doesnt allow some of the changes that comes with the hud installation and so it blocks them. you could try turning off the automatic action feature...
