OK this is my first theme using Full Glass and I hope it works well for everyone and you don't find any major bugs and I would like to give special thanks to Razorsedge for helping me with the wallpapers!!

Features Include:

1. Black Glass Aero Theme

2. Full Glass Blue icons with installers

3. System clock Mod

4. Media Player Skin

5. Blue Task Manager

6. Full Glass mod (by phantommenace2020 (http://phantommenace2020.deviantart.com/))

7. Eurostile Font Pack
This font is not compatible with some languages and characters, for people having this problem who have already downloaded the theme please use this msstyles to replace the one in your pack

I have uploaded this theme as just the theme and also another one with everything all in one pack.

To have your taskbar centered like in the image above.

All you need to do is unlock the taskbar and right click on it go to toolbars/add new, and them make a new folder somewhere and call it blank for example, then select that folder for your new toolbar.

You then need to right click on the new toolbar and select view text/title and deselect those 2 options now repeat all those steps(you can use the same blank folder again) and place the blank toolbars on either side of your main Taskbar group and slide the taskbar to a central position.

Once you have it where you want lock the taskbar again (note that it move a little when you lock the taskbar so some fine tuning may be needed), and now you have a centered Taskbar.

If you like you can also make the blank folder hidden to remove it from view.

Taskbar will not display the middle part of the bar if you have your options set to never combine.

Always combine, hide labels should be selected.

Also if you are using any extra Toolbars you need to make sure they are displaying small icons, but only if you have them all on a single row, if you have your taskbar expanded to 2 bars it will display normally again.

Very Important!!!

You must enable the use of custom themes by either patching your system with Universal Theme Patcher or use UxStyle Core which runs as a service, either way will have the same result but UxStyle Core does not change any system files and is also update proof.

On mine I made a folder in programs and put the exe in there and then sent a shortcut to the desktop, then opened the start menu and right clicked on startup in the all programs and selected properties, then click on the location tab and select find target and paste the shortcut in there.

Thanks, glad you like it but I already know about the problem in taskmanager and unfortunately I don't think that can be edited or I just couldn't find it, hopefully this doen't bother you too much though, it's not very often you have to see the text. ;)

I just tried it using the one in the theme folder and it still doesn't hang at all for me, maybe try doing a restart and see if it still happens.

That white pane is located in the shell32.dll so it won't change with the theme but it will change after you install the Full Glass icons with the theme.

i have found the problem my monitor has the solution 1152x864 but the theme has a
solution of 1680x1050,now i have my solution took to 1680x1050!

you must do the theme in visual styler and took the "reflection main"pic
and make the pic from 1680x1050 to your solution and now it's work!

i have took this problem out!now work's mr:grims theme on a solution from 1152x864!

that's the greatest theme what i have ever seen^^

Guys the theme will be up again shortly, I found some major bugs that are now fixed so I will update the links again in about 15 minutes.

Anyone who downloaded the mega pack will just need to download the smaller theme pack.

The start menu already has full transparency enabled, if you want them more transparent then you could use the Style hack I already posted in the Windows Style Builder forum or use Restorator to find and edit the images.

Yo Grim with the transparent start menu, do you still get that bug where one half of it is blurred til you hover over it?

Yeah the bug is still there but the menu has an image which starts of allot less transparent at the bottom so it's not noticeable.

Why after installing fonts Eurostile to obtain these errors. Somewhere no letters, only squares somewhere font is very small.
How do I fix this problem?

To fix that problem you will need to add a blank toolbar on the left side to space it out a bit, instructions are in te notes on the first post.

I don't think the Eurostile font is compatible with your language or characters and when it cant display in your language it is showing as squares or in other places it is reverting to the default font, the reason it looks so small is because the font size is only 8 for the Eurostile font because it is a large font but the default one is not and that's why it spears smaller.

Your only option I think would be to uninstall the Eurostile font, Start by just removing Eurostile Extended as that seems to be the one causing the most problems or I will make another version with the default font.

The problem is the display language, Now it is set up in English and no problems. Problem only when it is in Bulgarian. :(

ok, this is a big prob again, i have...not even me , all my friends who tried to use youre patched shell32 that comes with the icon pack i think...
ok thats the Prob...:

i noticed, that the X-FI CMSS 3D (on my creative X-fi gamer)does not work, even if i dont disable the feature. My speaker setup is 5.1, but changing settings to stereo expand or surround does not has any effect on my 5.1 speaker setup, but it use to before.
The X-fi CMSS3d is a driver build in enhancement that comes with these soundcards.and i use it to listen to music or watch mocies taht are in stereo , to get all speakers working, so i can upmix to 5.1 for better sound..it worked great before i installed your icon pack that came with this great Theme.

Whatever is difderent with your patched Shell32.dll causes the problem. As soon as shell32.dll is unpatched (leaving every other file patched), the issue goes away.

I'm not sure why it was cause this problem unless you are using a different build to me, the only thing I can suggest is for you to upload your unpatched shell32 and I will patch that one for you and then try it again.

OK I added the custom icons and images and the version number is the same as what I had but the file size is different so it looks like there is something different with the Win7 Profesional dll's, just replace the dll's in the data folder with these ones and try it again and hopefully it should all go well.

ok i played a lil bit with retoraror2007 and found out that its only the shell32.dll in the system32 folder....and ive tried to put the pics in there:

it worked, the pics show , but the sound is messed again...so i guess, whenever you change the shell32 , no mather what you change, the sounds messed up....
so maybe i have to look into it and write creative and there faulty support, to find out what the x-fi CSSM3d is doing in the shell 32 , or why and whats looking for in there...

and yes , my creative soundcard uses the shell32 somehow, cause it works right after i changed the shell32 back to original...this cssm3d mode uses the shell somehow , i dont know why....and im not the onlyone with this problem....

maybe it looks into the shell32 and chekes something or i dont know...this pisses me off!!!

this style is soo great and i cant use it cause of the soundcard...

i´ll wrote to the creative support to ask them what cssm3d is doing with the shell32 so i can find a workaround....hopefully they will tell me...

On mine I made a folder in programs and put the exe in there and then sent a shortcut to the desktop, then opened the start menu and right clicked on startup in the all programs and selected properties, then click on the location tab and select find target and paste the shortcut in there.

Awesome theme! Quick question, how do you work the 'full glass.exe' program? It just minimizes itself in the taskbar! Tried running in admin already. Running X64 windows 7.

To get the start menu transparent you need to edit the start menu images and make them transparent full glass will not do this.

Does the same thing for me in one area. The little boxes where you search or put names or text into. You know those little horizontal bars that are all over the internet? That you input text into and are most commonly found for search boxes. Well it overrides the color on that so I can't see the text. Does the same for the post box on forums. So if I was using this theme right now, this whole message would be gibberish because I could not read it because it hijacks firefox's theme. No matter which theme you use. I love your themes Mr.Grim but there has to be a way to fix that. Maybe we can all petition M$ to include the feature? :P

Or is there anyway to increase brightness or something for monitors? I mean I'm on a 1920 X 1080 Full HD resolution LCD monitor and I still can't see the text on most of your dark themes. You must have perfect vision considering I sit about 1 foot away from the computer or less. I mean I could almost kiss the monitor at all times :P. lol.

I cant get "Full Glass.exe" to run. when i double click on it after extraction nothing seems to happen, it just sits there in the " notification area icons". I ran the 3 patches, i have the icons set and the background image is set.. cant get transparent windows or the text.. what am i doing wrong??

I uninstalling the old Iconpack installing the full glass blue icons but the white side not changed :idk:

And my favorite Iconpack its the "ultimate blue icons" why the glass efect (in the systempanel) works only with the full glass blue Icons.

Issue for me is, Its almost impossible to read the bookmarks bar in Dark7ultimate, Midnight or Black Glass.

The text is just fuzzy, despite any changes to firefoxs themes, you can see the "Menu" text is also fuzzy.
The text in the Tabs is fine, just the bookmark toolbar that has an issue.

Would love to exclude firefox from this theme if possible, or maybe there is something you can do, or direct me to do.


Edit, also search boxes, text input on many sites with firefox is black text on black background, impossible to see

It was a Glasser addon I had installed which was causing those issues.

I'm using 3.0.17 again because I have had problems with any of the new versions, for some reason the colors on this site would show as purple instead of blue and I was getting the same thing in Photoshop and in any picture viewer, thought it might have been a bad video driver at first so went back to a really old one and it was still the same, strange thing is when I have no driver installed the colours are fine, but anyway this was the only Firefox version that seemed fine with the drivers installed and I found a work around for Photoshop as well, really don't know what happened to make this problem start in the first place though because it was fine at one stage.

Anyway mate, try an older version and tell me if the problem is still there or try out the personas add on, using the default theme or they don't work right, it should change the theme ok using that.

Oh god... even tho i might agree with part about creative support. But what exactly have moding of a VITAL system file with, have to do with creative support? They do not create drivers around YOUR moded shell32, they create it around ORIGINAL one that comes with windows. For more info what about Windows Shell and all the posibilitys moding can break, check MSDN (cant post intergrated link for some reason so here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb773177(VS.85).aspx ). But bottom line, you cant blame creative for something you break on your own... Im sure if CMSS3D is not working because of broken shell32.dll, there are other things that possible dont work and you just didnt notice them OR you might have problems in the feature.

so if any one knows something , tell me..im still on figureing out how to get around this prob....

I love this theme, but I can't seem to get the timedate.cpl to change the clock color from light to dark. It changes the calendar it even shows the dark clock if I go to sysWOW and right click timedate.cpl and properties. The window that comes up has the dark clock, but it refuses to change in the tray. AsI said, the calendar changes, but not the clock. I've done the ownership thing both manual and via the right click. I just can't figure this one out. Maybe some help from you or one of the whiz kids or adults for that matter.

I read in a post that you had to change both if you are using a X64 machine. Here is what I did: I took the Timedate.cpl that was in your timedate x64 folder and I put it in both the sysWOWx64 and the system 32 folders after taking ownership and backing up the originals. I also did the exact same thing with the wmploc x64. I took ownership in both sysWOWx64 and system32 and backed up both originals and then put the one that you had in the Black Aero Mega Pack Theme folder. By the way, I had to first change the build number in the wmploc from 16415 to 16667 to make it work in my Win 7. It all worked the way I did it, but I'm gathering that you are telling me that I didn't have to do either ownerships in the sysWOWx64 folder. I only need to take the wmploc and timedate.cpl for the x64 and put it in the system32 folder? You don't have to deal at all with the sysWOWx64 folder?

The system32 folder on a x64 OS contains all the x64 system files and the SysWOW64 folder contains the x86 system files, so for most system files you will only need to change the ones in the system32 folder but make sure the files you put in that folder are the x64 system files, the WMP on a x64 OS is still x86 by default so you only need to change the one in the SysWOW64 folder for the wmploc.dll, hope this makes sense, I know it's a bit confusing but it's just the way they do things on x64 for compatibility reasons.

It does make sense, albeit "crazy sense". Like you said it's mostly for compatibility reasons and that does sound plausible. I guess MS didn't get to where they were at by doing everything that makes sense to us all. Glad you guys that do all the great modding for us understand this. Also, I am now running the theme "Black Glass Aero with Full Glass and Black Glass Enhanced. I know that is probably taking an unnecessary chance running both of those together, but so far so good. \now about Vista Glazz. Is there any reason for me to install that and run it or am I good just running the other 2? I just run Full Glass out of the tray and put it in my "Start Up". It doesn't really do anything when you double click it except it goes to the tray, so I'm assuming that is how it runs.

I'm sending a Snip of the warning. I was hoping that you may be able to tell me why Norton seems to find something wrong here in these 2 files and nobody else does. I don't have a clue either, but I've used both of those for a long time now and I don't get anything bad from my machine. I think Norton IS 2011 tends to be a bit paranoid. More so than most AV's. If you were to keep just one of the glass features Mark, which one would you choose for this theme? I know it called for the Full Glass, but.......? Do you know who the authors for the glass apps are off-hand? By the way, thanks for your quick responses.

You must enable the use of custom themes by either patching your system with Universal Theme Patcher or use UxStyle Core which runs as a service, either way will have the same result but UxStyle Core does not change any system files and is also update proof.

What i can tell you is this is false positives.. Your getting this because the app's are not digitally signed.. No worries they are both safe..
You can tell because it was cought in cloud.. Not by signature or heuristics and the fact Origan is unknown tells all..
Also black glass runs as a portable app so it don't create files on your system...
BTW i work in malware research for COMODO...

Well Mark, I've tried just about everything to get the blue bar to show on the taskbar and it just doesn't want to show itself. I've followed all directions on the front page of the theme. I have my DPI set at custom 124 % because my screen res is 1920 x 1280 or something like that and the font was so small sitting at 100% that I had to change the DPI to custom setting. I thought that might be the reason, but when I changed it all back. it's still the same. I have the taskbar custom with the 2 additional taskbars, one at each side and I have icons set to small all the way around, so I'm out of ideas. Maybe you've squared this with another lost soul. If so, clue me in brother. Not that I'll die w/o it but these things kill me till I figure them out. :unhappy:

Do you have it on always combine? post a screen of how it looks.

I did notice that your preview did look the same as mine but then you mentioned a blue bar and I did notice on another screen that someone else posted that there was a thin blue bar running lengthwise through the taskbar. I have only one real gripe with this theme. Black text on a black background is almost completely unreadable. I have to get up on the screen to make any sense of Windows ToolTips and whatever Youtube and Twitter posts I write.

I can change the colors, I'm sure, but it's a really frustrating oversight, so if you ever update, please keep that in mind.

Because your using Full glass and it can only be used with dark themes, you will need to disable it if your going to use light themes.

This theme looks great...havent tried installing yet cause i wanted to check the instructions link grimm posted...but for some reason it says i dont have permission to view it...it says something about me wanting to edit the page or whatever...granted im new here and just registered for this theme pretty much...but it would be nice to know how to install it...lol. Also...i wasnt absolutely sure which file to get...the mega pack...or the theme alone...the message on which one was needed...seemed a bit cryptic....but it could just be me...
