Hello,
I'd like to change the background of the startmenu. In other words I wanna make it transparent. But I don't find any way to allow that.
I searched in Start Menu - Panels but I couldn't change it.
Maybe is there anybody who can help me :)
If it's important,I'm using WSB 1.4.

I'm not 100% but I think on 1.4 it's this one.
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > CompositedMFU:ListView > CompositedOpaque:Bool = Deselect

After I deselected the CompositedOpaque:Bool

One more question,does it matter if I'm using a 64bit system or a 32bit one ?

You still need to edit the image in the start menu to make it transparent, what I posted before just enables you to make it transparent and no it doesn't matter if your using 64bit or 32bit.

You will need a program to edit the images like Photoshop and the images you will need to edit are in Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top and in Windows 7 > Start Menu > Basic > MoreProgramsTab for the more programs button
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Basic > MoreProgramsTab
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Basic > MoreProgramsArrow
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Basic > MoreProgramsArrowBack
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > MoreProgramsExtended
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > ProgramsList
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > ProgramsListExtended
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > ProgramsListSeparator
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > PlacesList
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > PlacesListExtended
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > PlacesListSeparator
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > Logoff
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > LogoffExtended
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > NSCHost
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > OpenBox
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > OpenBoxExtended
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > SearchView
Windows 7 > Start Menu > Aero > Top > MoreResults

Create you own image, you don't need to export, just select edit and then select Photoshop as the default editing program, you can resize the image if you like and create a new menu from scratch or if you just want to make the menu you have transparent then use the transparency slider and then save as a png and go back to VSB and select done editing and then repeate for all the other images you want transparent.
Try this Style hack I made to have the same start menu as me. [Only registered and activated users can see links]
It might help if you use this style hack anyway because all the images are to scale and are easier to work with.
