Excellent as usual Mr GRiM :burns:
Is this capable of installing other styles, or just the red, green, and blue 7tsp theme packs for now? I'm currently using the blue with x64 and it's awesome.

i downloaded 7tsp themes and when i attemepted to load one of the themes into 7tsp the theme pack didn't show - weird -makes no sense = eventhough, i know the theme pack is here - has anyone else has this issue ?? if so, we're you able to resolve or did someone assist as to what the problem was - pls advise, thx !!
ps: '' i tried to get assistance but, to no avail - i guess, either apps work or they don't work based on your pc's configuration settings."

Hey guys,
How do I enable "system restore" in windows.
I'm guessing that if this is not enabled in 7tsp before I patch, I cannot restore to original?
Thanks
_Deano_

7tsp does a system restore point before patching anythink mate
oops enable it
To configure System restore, right click on ‘My Computer’ and select Properties. In the left hand side of the properties window, click on the link ‘System protection’.
This will open up the System protection tab where you can configure System Restore.
Here you can see which all drives are having System Restore enabled. You can change the setting by selecting the drive and clicking on Configure button.

ok what exactly did you install?? Did you install a 7tsp theme pack or 7tsp icon pack? also you need to patch your system to enable 3rd party themes. You can use Universal Theme Patcher or VistaGlazz to do this. And i also recommend that you install theme resource changer. both the patcher and theme resource changer links can be found in this tutorial ->> [Only registered and activated users can see links] which i highly recommend you watch

I hope someone can give me a definitive answer on this:
Can I install & use 7 Theme Source Patcher(and ResHacker it needs), if I already have the
Universal Theme Patcher installed(files patched with it) on my Win7 64 PC?
Thank you.

Hi reaper :)
Yes you can use both on your system you need the universal theme patcher to enable the use of 3rd party themes to use them so most ppl have both on their system :)

Thank you for your swift response. I have one more question: I watched haCkEdtheplAneT's tutorial on enabling custom themes([Only registered and activated users can see links]=121); which is a great tutorial BTW, but I don't know if I have to use both the x86 & x64 Universal Theme Patcher on a x64 bit Windows 7(Ultimate), and if both are required in which order do I need to apply them? x64 first ,reboot (or without rebooting between patching?)and then x86, or vice versa?
Plus, does 7tsp work just as well with UxStyle Core instead of Universal Theme Patcher?
Sorry to be so long winded, but I'm new to customizing Windows 7 and I really love the themes you guys make here on Virtual Customs &
would be proud to have them on my desktop.
Thanks in advance, I hope I'm not being a bother.

1. you don't have to restart in between universal theme patcher.. i always run the x64 patch first, choose don't restart after using the x64 patcher. run the x86 patcher. Restart after your finished using the x86 patcher. an fyi you will only have 2 files to patch on the x86 patcher using a 64 bit OS.
2. Yes 7tsp will work if your using UXStyle Core

Thank you very much for explaining.
I gather that UAC should be off in Windows 7, so it does not interfere with the patching process.
Ok, so I patch with x64, then x86, reboot -> install Theme Resource Changer(do I need to install both x86 & x64 or just x64?) -> then install 7tsp &let it install Resource Hacker(or is it better to install it before?).

Hmm, now I'm confused... Do I need to use Universal theme patcher and install Theme resource changer before I install 7 theme source patcher?

I don't think it really mater which order you do them but you do need them before applying most of the themes we have on this site
