How to use the new posting system Tutorial

HI Everyone :)

Since we have moved to the new site and we have a lot of new features I have created a tutorial for you all on how to make posts using the forums posting features.

One thing we have noticed especially is it seems people are forgetting to insert their images into posts if you don,t insert them they will just be all jumbled up in the attachement box at the bottom of the post so I have created this tutorial to show you how to use the new features for images along with some of the other nice addons :)

Hi razor this is a good Tutorial bud very helpfull but I for some reason dont have the paper clip attachment can you help bud.

Do u see the button here go advanced in the screen below when u click that do u then see the paperclip ? if your doing a quick reply u would need to click the go advanced button :)

I will have a look at ur permissions to make sure ur all gd incase :)

Ok I just checked you all out and ur permissions are fine, when was the last time you cleaned your browsers cache say using ccleaner can you try doing a clean of your cache in your browser to see if u get the paperclip :)

Great tutorial bud, just also wanted to point out the button on the top left in the edit panel wich will switch modes on the editor between WYSIWYG and Source Mode, I have everyone set to WYSIWYG but most will be used to and may prefer the Source Mode view which is what we had on the old site, you can set your preferred default in your UserCP settings.

I found source mode was easier when inserting file attachments as for some reason in WYSIWYG when you place a file inline like you do with images the file does not show at all but in Source Mode it is easy to see where it has been placed.

One other thing I wanted to mention is the 2 YouTube bbcodes, they both only require the YouTube ID code, for example you have a full URL for YouTube which may be.

All you need to place in the [/YT ] brackets is the part after the = and before the & so that would be.

And getting back to the 2 bbcodes, the one on the left is the larger size and the one on the right is the smaller

Oh and also there is the default insert video tags that you can use to insert the whole URL and gives you another size.

Just an update with the bbcode on the site for inserting Youtube Videos, I added 4 new sizes to insert your video at and those are as listed 240p, 360p, 480p and 720p
