I'm resurrecting a Windows 8 system (not 8.1) and am using a Windows 8 Release Preview Visual Style that I downloaded from DeviantArt (http://misaki2009.deviantart.com/art/Windows-8-RP-Visual-Style-on-Windows-8-RTM-327134245) to spruce it up. The style is almost perfect, but there is one minor bug: no box appears around items on the desktop when the mouse goes over them. Also, when the items are clicked, they look like they were selected in Windows XP. See the attachments for examples and non-examples of the problem.

Any ideas as to how to fix this or what causes it?

I've got a copy of Aves Style Builder and found the location of the elements with the help of another thread (http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=785.0), but upon checking those elements, they look to be perfectly intact already (at least for the mouseover and selected items). This is what's got me stumped.

Anyone have any ideas where to find this?
