Is there a guide to installing the themes on the site? I'd rather ask and be sure. Just got this bucket of bolts back together and I dont want to brick it.

Nevermind. Found How To Install Theme On Windows 10 Creators Update -youtube

If you are new to customization and don't want to install thing for thing, I recommend that you use All-In-One Installer by dhjohns (this saves you installing everything).
And as always first make a backup before installing any customization app.

Is there that big of a risk with Windows 10 in "bricking" your system? Does it happen often? Is this just disclaimers just in case.

Almost always if u don't know how to apply the themes in the corresponding builds (I mean that flashing gray screen)

I'm running 1703 Windows creators update. Would the all in one installer be safe for this version? I should make a restore point yes?

yes, This works on Windows 10 builds 10240, 10586, 14393, and RS2 including any New builds.

just double click since it is a log file (.reg).
If u download themes from here (VC) you will find also a registry to reverse the changes (Default System Metrics) that come in within each theme as "EXTRA".

System metrics require a logout or reboot after being applied the way Agelyk (http://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/261036-Agelyk) said. Fonts- ctrl+a right click select install. You can use iPacks, which can be uninstalled using control panel http://virtualcustoms.net/forumdisplay.php/1230-iPacks-Win-8-8-1-and-10
