There is a style hack to do that to the msstyle theme that was made for Vista on Vista Style Builder but I haven't tested it on Windows 7 yet.

What theme are you using that you want to remove it on and I will see if I can help you out?

the style i have is your dark 7 ultimate and your icon pack i also cant work out how to get shortcut to my desktop without them showing the little shortcut symbol if you no what i mean very new to this sorry

You can use this hack to remove the shortcut overlays if you like and I will work on removing the user pic on the start menu and upload it when I it figured out.

I tried the style hack to remove the user pic but it didn't work so I'm sure what needs to be done to achieve that.
