    Backward compatibility Windows 8

[QUOTE=Feed Monkey;191304]Don't worry, businesses, Microsoft is keeping things cool.

I'm not surprised. One of Bill Gates' success stories is the fact that he tries to do everything possible for an operating system to have backward compatibility. He knows full well that if the new OS won't run programs you already have installed and use all the time, nobody will buy it. Only as time goes on and people begin to upgrade to newer software does he finally those programs unusable. For example, Office 2010 and 2007 will run on XP (which many people have), but [as far as I know] will NOT run on Windows 98 or prior.
