Lately I have been planning a HAF X mod and I am at the stage of testing various lighting ideas.
I wont be completing this project any time soon as I want to experiment with lighting techniques
and cable management techniques that are unusual.
For example, because I have limited finances, I experimented with creating
back-lit plastic with an even glow across the whole surface with no light hotspots visible.
I found a great solution. I got an old laptop. Took the screen apart and removed the polarising light cards
that are found within, cut them to the required shape and glued them together, Then I
put some led strip lights to the sides of it. I now have an excellent light box effect that I can use in my build
I estimate a year to completion as it's also my first proper case mod, and like I said before, I have limited time
and limited money.
On that note I would ask people if they have experimented with their own low cost solutions to expensive problems
If so please show me solutions to case modding problems that you are proud to have thought out for yourself.
