I have tried installing a few themes using the guidelines given in this thread https://virtualcustoms.net/showthread...ete-Collection ,
with no success.
I have first installed the Theme Signature Bypass, followed by the Old New Explorer with the settings from the picture, StartIsBack, Winaero Tweaker and Aero Glass.
I then installed the fonts, merged the reg files for the rc context menu and system metrics and rebooted my system.
I then pasted the relevant themes in my themes folder and applied them via theme settings, however, the only thing that changed was the background.
Also I could not select the custom start menu from the StartIsBack interface initially, but I could after putting the theme .msstyle in the Styles folder in the StartIsBack install directory, wich also enabled the theme taskbar.
But still the explorer remains unchanged.
I tried the same process a few more times, triple checking if I followed the guidelines correctly.
Figuring something may have gone wrong with patching the .dlls in system32, I took ownership of the themeui.dll, uxinit.dll, and uxtheme.dll and gave full control to everything to make sure and patched them again, first with Theme Signature Bypass and then with UltraUxThemePatcher, but still no success, only the background changed.
I also disabled Windows Defender and all Antivirus software to make sure they weren't preventing the installation, but that didn't help.
I'm using Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit with the Fall Creators Update, build 1709.
Reading through the forums, I saw that some users with similar problems solved their issues by using topshell versions of their themes, however I haven't been able to find a topshell version of the theme I am looking for, wich is this one https://virtualcustoms.net/showthread...ghlight=jarvis ,
so I haven't been able to try it out.
Any help would be appreciated.
