Computer Status - Custom Mod

This was a gadget I downloaded a while back and it looked a bit dated to me so I made my own version of it and changed the default radio station BBC1 to .977 The Hitz Channel which I think is probably the most popular online radio station around.

The 977 The Hitz Channel has changed to a new link, if you want to keep listening to then download the station.js zip and replace the to .js files in the gadgets js folder, I also added a few new station while I was at it :smile:

It is possible to add your own stations but you need to edit the stations.js file with note pad, which can be found in C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\CustomComputerStatusSideShow.Gadget\js

anyone? i know how to edit the js file, but not exactly sure what to put there for the actual station. i made 1 for the name, just not sure on the url etc...

For kool_zero: you have to know the URL for the station you're trying to add. If you don't know it, search for it.
Then you can add the station info like this:
theStream[66] = "http://www.everythingeverything.co.uk/ukrp/stream.php?station=XFMScot";
theLogo[66] = "XFMOnline";
theXML[66] = "N";
theName[66] = "Xfm Scotland";
theWebsite[66] = "http://www.xfmscotland.co.uk/";
theType[66] = "WMP";

You only need to change theStream and theName. Instead of [66] type an unique number - this is the position on your stations list.

Is there anyway to install these gadgets ( and .gadget files made for vista/seven in general ) on windows xp? I have Win. 7 too and love this gadgets and it would be great if i could use them under XP as well. If any 1 knows a way to do that, please reply. Thanks guys.

Thanks alot man, already tried that particular sidebar without the transformation pack with no succes, I'm not a big fan of TP's , they cause system instability but I'll create a system restore point ant try this anyway. hay nice gadgets you have there

but is it posible to remove the CPU from it? course i have 8 lines for the CPU :S
and maybe change the gray coler in the top to a blue?

i have ben using google to se if there was a guide to change a gadgets but i cant find anything about CPU in a gadgets or the coler, the only thing i have found it to make a google gadgets and thats not what i need. :S

can you maybe help me? plz

i tryed the one Lefty made course his coler was more me. but his corners on the gadgets was to sharp and not like yours whit the soft corners
