you will have to do next:

1. on taskbar, right click, then properties

2. in submenu ''taskbar'' activate ''use small icons'' and click ok...

you will have smaller icons in taskbar, but date won't be there...i hope i helped...

The other option is to change the font size in Windows Style Builder so it only has room for the time.
