The text colour for all programs is a strange one because it changes colour when you select something on there and there are 2 places you need to set the colour:

Start Menus - menus - Basic - Keyboard:TreeView - TextColor:Color
and
Start Menus - menus - Basic - Hover:TreeView - TextColor:Color

And if you can find how to change the text colour in those properties windows then let me know because I have searched for that for endless hours and changed every text colour and added text colours to every property in the hope of changing that but still never figured that one out and several others.

Well I can't figure this out because somewhere it's being set as transparent and I don't even have a transparent image set. And the color is still black after I set it blue and white.

Sorry mate I don't know why it doesn't work for you because I was trying both of those settings when I wrote it and then worked for me, so unless something else is overriding those settings, perhaps you did not make this theme from scratch and someone else found a different way to change those text colours.

Maybe if you send me the theme I can have a better look and see what the problem is.

Wow, the property wasn't there. I kept looking at the color property instead of textcolor. I feel like a fool..

Ok now how would I change the hoverbox when I hover over an item in all programs section?

I have to go out for a bit so I will help you with that latter but have a look at.

Start Menus - menus - Basic - Keyboard:TreeView - TreeItem - Hot - Image
and
Start Menus - menus - Basic - Hover:TreeView - TreeItem - Hot - Image

Sorry they are just a guess so if it's not there I will have a look latter for you.

You need to add these properties to the following locations

Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView > FillColor:Color
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView > TextColor:Color
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > FillColor:Color
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TextColor:Color

Awesome! I have been looking for the answer.. but here is how I had to do it in the theme I'm working on..

just add a "text:color" value in here

Explorer & Shell>Explorer>Tree View
Add Property

text:color

and change it to what ever color you like

The fill color was already set in there.. so I changed that to go with my new text color.

When you click on a folder in all programs does the text, background and button image remain the same?

I'm searching for the properties to change this view in my start menu.

After clicking on "alle Programme" (german user ;-) ) the font ist in light grey and good to read. After clickung on a program folder the font color changes to this dark version. And after a few seconds it changes into a brighter one.

What have i to change.

Thanks

Did you try adding the properties I listed above?

Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView > FillColor:Color
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView > TextColor:Color
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > FillColor:Color
Start > StartMenu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TextColor:Color

Yes i have tried but the problem still exists.

The Textcolor or glowing effect, don't know what it is, changes when i move the cursor over the folder:
the dark text changes then to bright.

I think I know what you mean, I had the same problem and I had to add another image, first of all you will need to here,

Start Menu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TreeItem > Hot

Export the image from there and then go here,

Start Menu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView > TreeItem > HotSelected

And you will need to add all the same properties from the previous location,

SizingMargins:Margins
ContentMargins:Margins
BGType:Enum
Sizing:Enum

And the last one is Imagefile:Filename and that's where you will add the image you extracted and that should fix the problem for you I hope.

Thanks for your help.

I have no image under
Start Menu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TreeItem > Hot

But i have noticed that under TreeItem a Textcolor like orange (?) was in use.
After changing to grey the very dark grey text is gone.

Last search, but not in the "All Programs Menu Text" case, where did i find these color (text) properties:

Strange that you didn't have that image, I guess the author of that theme did things a bit different, anyway I think it's the status bar text you want so you can find that here, I think you may need to add the textcolor property.

Toolbars, Headers and Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Status > TextColor:Color

Perfect that's it, thanks.

Yes this style is from deviantART and i'm trying to change a few little things to made it perfect for me.

The main changes (e.g. red to green) are easy and a little "learning by doing". But searching the last remaining fonts to change isn't so easy.

I kow that is not possible to change the font color black in a few cases (like in the "properties"-Menu).

But how does it stay with the column-header in a program like total commander (see screenshot)

Thats the last open point in my "to do" list :D

Not sure about that one but you can find most of the font colours if you use the search and type Font and change it to properties with the little drop down menu.
