Hi kdonald1,

I would say that you need to do a system repair by booting up with your installation disc or try pressing F8 when your system is booting up and follow the prompts.

Hope this helps.

First off what pack was it? And did you Read the "README" that came with the pack? Making sure you disabled UAC.

Cashis, I have icon pack from http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/27464-Custom-Icons-with-install-Script-for-Windows-7 and http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/27762-AlienWare-Icon-Pack-With-Installer. The icon was for my version of system. The UAC I have off. I have read readme.txt.

opalo153, i cant choose an picture because i dont have it. This problem is already solved.

Ok just explain what exactly you are doing or trying to do? also have a read of this thread http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/27730-Troubleshoot-Problems-Installing-Uninstalling-Icon-Pack-s
Sounds like your system files are out of whack, Follow these steps:

1. Open command prompt

2. type "sfc /scannow"

sfc /scannow this will restore ya system files.

3.Then run the "UninstallCleanup" script located in the Data folder

4.And then try to install.

Ok. I`ll try to install icon pack. When i open install.cmd i choose 1 to install. After that i choose 1 to restart PC. After restart PC i don`t have changed icon, i have default. Now i open unistall.cmd and choose 1 and 1. System restart. I have read this http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/27730-Troubleshoot-Problems-Installing-Uninstalling-Icon-Pack-s and when i try to rename example imageres.dll i see you need permission to perform this action

As long as you have UAC turned off and you are logged in as administrator then that's all you should need. You could right click c:\Windows folder and manually give you self the permission as well.

Ok. I know how to change icon. I must rmb on ex imageres.ddl and properies. Then seciurity and edit my permission. Thanks for helping me guys. And one more, i don`t have file C:\Windows\System32\imagesp1.dll. This is ok? If no, then someone can share that file with me.

I would recommend running System Restore first and restoring to the point that the script created and check if that restores your imagesp1.dll.

If that fails then you could try running the following command for SFC to check that one specific dll and Windows should restore your original copy of it:

SFC /SCANFILE=C:\Windows\System32\imagesp1.dll

If the above two methods don't work and you still dont have the dll, here is a un-touched imagesp1.dll:
