To make the blue outline you need to edit the image here:
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > TaskItemButton
If the image you want to change it the default icon before it's running then it's:
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > TaskItemButton > NormalPinned
If you want to have a different image in the middle of the taskbar then you need to edit these images:
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Aero > TaskBand > BackgroundBottom
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Aero > TaskBand > BackgroundTop
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Aero > TaskBand (SmallIcons) > BackgroundBottom
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Aero > TaskBand (SmallIcons) > BackgroundTop
if you have any more questions then please ask.

How do I make spaces?
Use the separator.exe in the folder ( its just a a text file renamed exe , open it with notepad to see ;) ) Place it in a safe place.
Now make a shortcut to it ~ Right click on it and " create shortcut"
Right click on the new shortcut and select "properties" and change the icon to the blank one supplied.
Pin the shortcut to your Superbar and you now have a blank spacer.
Make copies of the separator.exe and make new short cuts , change each icon as you go.
If you delete the separator.exe or shortcuts you will lose the spacer so put them somewhere out of the way.
