but before I can post it
I need to know how to create a new theme installer anyone any Ideas
Iam new at this so any help would be great. thanks

The way I make my theme file is to put the theme in the theme folder and then apply it with WSB, then add the wallpapers and other stuff to the themes Folder and set them as a background and then open the personalization menu and set the colours and anything else you want to change with the theme, you can also have an icon folder with your theme and set the icons in the personalization menu for the recycle bin computer, network and so on and then once you are happy with all the settings you can save your new theme in the personalization menu.

Now that's all good for you but you are probably thinking, how does that help me with getting a theme file so others can install it, well that's when you have to find the file you just made when you saved your theme and it can be found in C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes, you will need to change your folder options to show hidden folders so so can access the appdata folder, now all you have to do is take the theme file you saved from there and put it in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes and your theme is good to go, now just put it all in a zip and post it :)

are you trying to make an installer that installs the theme for you if so let me know cause i can make a tutorial on how to do it from winrar

thanks very much mark but I havent got wsb I have got vsb will that do the same.
Im trying to change a custom themes name so I can post it back as another name
for others to share.
and any tutorials would be great thanks. still learning

Yeah it should be exactly the same thing with 1.4

make sure you have done the patch for 1.4 before you use the theme though or you will not be able to log on to the OS

I will be posting my new theme at the weekend
working long hours at the moment not much time for anything.
