Installing a good antivirus & keeping your Windows & your security software updated at all times helps protect your Windows computer from viruses and other security threats.

Now I know there is no such thing as a best anti-virus software; but nevertheless, I’d like to know which antivirus software do you use to protect your Windows PC from security threats, and why you think its the best!

Do you use a free AntiVirus software for Windows 7; or a paid one? Or do you use a fully integrated Security Suite? Do you have a second layer of defense in terms of an additional anti-spyware or anti-malware software installed?

Please do share below in the comments – which one you recommend and why!

Myself I have been a user of Bit Defender for the past 4 years in all the time using this av I have never come close to having an infected file pass into my computer, with all kinds of options and security I have found it to be the best I have ever used.

I use MSE and I find that it's good enough for me, I don't go to too many dangerous sites like porn and gambling and I think that's where most people get malicious software and files from, MSE is easy on resources and has daily updates and all scans are done in the background on a regular basis as well as scanning downloaded content and so on.

I plan on purchasing "Vipre Antivirus 2010" as soon as I get some money. (never have any, lol)

It's fairly new, and has gotten some pretty kick ass reviews, check it out ^^
