Updated AveFolderBG to work with Windows 7. Credit still goes to original author.


Still integrates into the Windows Shell using the Right-Click\ Customize this Folder menu option


Click Download to download the application

Right-Click the Install.bat and Choose Run as Administrator to install extension
May have to Restart Explorer to for initial changes to take effect



This also reenables the Auto Arrange Function. If you have your folders set to Icon View , the Auto Arrange option will not be grayed out

Good as this is, I can't help feeling it a bit odd that the default (and unchangeable) setting is tiled and not stretch. Given Explorer's penchant for never appearing the same size twice the result can be less than pleasing to say the least!

When I click to install this program on my Win7 x64 I get this message
