Transparent start menu?

How can I make this transparent, the images are clear, but the is blue here any ideals?

You're sure that this is not the desktop background showing through the transparency? Gotta ask.

Otherwise could you please 'show your workings' and post the images?

I've had a problem like that. Have you tried changing the window colour in preferences? :)
