A Razorlight & Mr. Grim Production


This is my final product in the spirit of compition Mr Grim and I had going on :)

This style changed up, down, left, right, any which way you can think before the final came out as much as this was a little compition between Mr Grim and myself it never really was any compition at all lol.

This all started with a chat and an idea that evolved into these themes of ours. We were with each other every step of the way firing off screenshots to one another for each step we did or new idea.

I owe Mr Grim a great deal of thanks with this the work is half andf half in the theme between us I had a lot of crazy ideas that he helped me work out and in the end I think the product turned out great. So thanks Grimmer bud we had some long long nites on these to be sure it was a blast every step of the way :)

also to godsilla who's Blacktech msn skin concept was the inspiration for the start menu

Axertion for his Mezmurized interface design that was the inspiration for the clock

coolcat 21 for some images used from Ailen SE his wb theme that I modified

Note: I have updated the the the theme in 2 ways the orig theme I fixed a few side frames properties I missed adjusting at first so the links have been updated :)

There is also a second version it is the same theme with smaller frames and shadows as some ppl experience problems applying the theme with the large frame sizes in the orig :)

Amazing theme. I ran into a problem though. I changed all the extras, but when i try to apply the theme, my computer just hang at the applying setting screen. Don't know if it's just my problem, just wanted you to know. Thank you again for all of your hard work.

Scott I will make a second version of this today seems you and nofx have the same issue, the windows frames on this are very big images in the msstyle so I will make those smaller that should solve the problem the 2 of you have with applying it :)

Twisted-Devil the icons are from a few different packs that I modded upto match the nucleus and this theme. I can pack them up and put a link to them in the post here :)

Between, if it's not too much trouble, can you please convert the explorer frames and the start button to '.png'. Also, timedate.cpl would also be nice!

Razor i Love the theme but i have one small issue. Hi bigv,

I found out from mr grim where those buttons are in the msstyle I never edit them I just leave them as the basic ones in there as I did not think they were used for anything anymore :)

Disregaurd razor I used the buttons from Mr Grims blue Concept theme they worked perfectly

Razor I just tried to install this on my laptop. Both version 1st one hangs on install and I have to boot into safe mode and do system restore the 2nd with the small images reverts my system back to areo I have no clue what could be causing the problem it worked beautifully when i installed version 1 on my desktop

It's always the normal Aero.

is it just your taskbar and start orb that dont change or is the theme showing different, make sure that you have your theme files patched to use 3rd party themes as the ones on this site you can find how to patch your os for 3rd party themes here : viewtopic.php?f=108&t=5665 (http://virtualcustoms.net/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=5665)

You show two images at the top of this thread. The second image shows the 'Fonts' window behind the another windows. On my win 7 premium 'patched theme' system with your Theme Resource Changer installed, the sidebar on the left of that image shows as a white background with blue text, and the blue text only shows up if I put my mouse pointer on it, (highlight). This also happens on my 'Control Panel' window. There could be other windows that it doesn't show up right but haven't come across any. I tried Supernova in Virtualbox, V4.1.2, using a win 7 premium machine, and the left image , (sidebar?), shows the same as your sample image for both 'Fonts' and 'Control Panel'. I did try Supernova 2 theme, but it came up as a normal Aero theme in virtualbox. Same thing happened on my Win 7 premium system. I also tried Supernova after a fresh install of win 7 premium, with only the theme patched and Theme Resource Changer installed. The same problem showed up. Everyelse seems to work just fine. Any idea as to why it doesn't work in my windows 7 premium? It would sure make it easier to see if it did? I really love this theme and would love to figure out why it isn't working correctly.
