these two lesser known eBooks from Microsoft. One a Windows 7 Tips & Tricks eBook, focused towards Government organizations, and the other The Windows Optimized Desktop E-Book for Government. Both appear to have been released in 2009, but nevertheless make interesting reading!

I accidentally stumbled upon these two lesser known eBooks from Microsoft. One a Windows 7 Tips & Tricks eBook, focused towards Government organizations, and the other The Windows Optimized Desktop E-Book for Government. Both appear to have been released in 2009, but nevertheless make interesting reading!

There are some pretty useful tips there in the Tips & Tricks eBook! For instance, to see drives that aren’t currently in use, on the Start menu, click Computer. Press ALT to display the Computer folder menus. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab. Clear the Hide empty drives check boxes in the Computer folder to see the available drives.
The Windows Optimized Desktop E-Book for Government has two versions. One the web version which you can view online and the other a download, which you can download and read offline right from your Windows desktop. This one requires Silverlight but has some real smart animation!
