It’s a well known fact that the beta version of Internet Explorer 9 lets the user to pin a website or webpage to the Windows 7 taskbar with a simple drag and drop. But most of Internet Explorer 9 beta users are not aware of the fact that IE 9 even lets you add a website to the Windows start menu with a click.

Yes, you can now add a website to the Windows Start menu using Internet Explorer 9. Once added, you can find the added webpage under All programs. In other words, you can now launch your favorite website right from the Start menu.

Here is how to pin a website to Start menu using Internet Explorer 9:

1. Launch your favorite website in Internet Explorer 9 browser.



2. Click on Tools icon located at the extreme right of the toolbar, navigate to File and then click Add site to Start menu.

3. Click Add button for the confirmation box to see your favorite website in Start menu. From now onwards you can just type the name of the website in the Start menu to launch the same in IE 9 browser.
