windows 64bit or 32bit ?

Under system in the control panel it shows i have 64bit OS but programs folder is x86. Which software version would i download if offered in both 64bit & 32bit?

Hello,

Sounds as you have Windows x64.

If you look in your C:\ drive you should find 2 different Program Files. One labeled C:\Program Files, this is where all the 64 bit program files go, and another labeled, C:\Program Files (x86), which is where all the 32 bit program files go.

I have x64 and always use the 64 bit version of a program if it's available.
