icons make tutorial

Are there specific programs to create icons?
If not, could someone give me pointers on how to create icons for windows

Depends on the type of icons you want to create, I use Photoshop to create my icons as png first and then convert them to icons, you want make them 256x256 and if you want to make folder icons it's best if you use the default folder icons as a rough guide to figure out size and position the front and back need to be.

When I create mine I just create a rectangular image how I want the front and back to look and then use the free transform tool to alter the scale and prospective of the images to give it the 3D open folder look.

Thanks Grim :happy: i might like to learn this in near future i have made simple icons :( but right now and for past year i been pretty hooked on your top notch icons not sure if i can overcome that addiction lmao
