My first theme

Hi everyone my name is Pete I am new to VC.
been watching you guys for a while now
I want to be as good you guys some day also.
been working on a theme based on a nexus dock I dont know by who ? its my first.
just wanted to see what you guys think before I do any more on it.

Wow 2 days and you have already got so far with that theme, may I ask how you managed to be so good for your first theme, you must have a fair bit of experience with making graphics to be at this level already.

Have experience in graphics, I mess around a lot until I put something together I like. I've used Photoshop since cs3 then 4 and 5, helped by building websites for friends etc. I started by breaking down someone else's theme, taking it apart to see how it was done then applying my own ideas.
Obviously this isn't my first theme but this is the first I've published. I've practised a lot before having the guts to publish!

I see from this screen you have changed it a fair bit from your first concept but I can tell you now that your first screen is very doable, I can get that start menu and Taskbar perfect for you, add me to messenger and I will give you a hand if you like bud. mkjgod@hotmail.co.uk

Yeah that's better Pete, what you need to do though is use the tile property instead of stretch on the start menu and taskbar to get a better effect, that way it will not be stretched or squashed, the trick to using a tiled image is to make it smaller and set the sizing margins so only the bit you want to be tiled will be tiled and that will get rid of the stretching and squashing on your images if you know what I mean.

Unfortunately that tile property can not be used on the explorer frames unless you do it on the basic frames for a basic theme, but that would not be much use to you on Basic as it would spoil that great looking Start Menu of yours.

PS I liked that Alienware wall the best in your screens so far, it really brought out the nice blue in your theme.

The line on your menu is Fonts, Colors & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics > Menu:Color

I cant remember where the other white line is though
