How do you set the background image for windows explorer and control panel also how do you set the transparency for them so you have a see through background. I would like to know how to do this either using Windows style builder or a resource hacker.

For transparent windows you need a program like black glass enhanced - 40331
And for a image in the windows you need to swap your win7 folder with this one - 40332
Download Mr Grims pixie dust theme to see how to do the workings for it

I knew about black glass but is there a program to make white backgrounds look like glass because i use office 2010 and it uses the same property as windows so black backgrounds make it hard to read stuff in outlook. Any suggest for a theme that looks nice with a full glass look but not a black background for explorer.

Thanks

Actually the explorer background has nothing to do with Office, it's the Window colour in system metrics that is responsible for that, you can change it also in the advanced appearance settings in the colour personalization menu.

Also Full Glass or any transparency program that give the explorer background transparency only work with dark coloured themes, you could use Glass2k (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Desktop-Enhancements/Other-Desktop-Enhancements/Glass2k.shtml) with light themes but that makes the whole window transparent, not just the background, there are also a few other similar programs that will do the same thing like System Transparency (http://prisoner7.deviantart.com/art/System-Transparency-162619802)

I actually figured out that explorer background had nothing to do with it thanks which systems metric properties do i need to change?
