Hello Everyone...

It's great to have finally registered to this super awesome forum... :D I must say i am so impressed at how much stuff there is to play around with... and it's great to be apart of this forum..

Does anyone know if there's a step-by-step Instructional tutorial on "how to..." Install the themes here and a list of software we can use..? Please help, I am utterly new to this...

Thanks,
Regards,

Hundario

Well first welcome to virtual customs and hope you enjoy the site. Now onto your questions first you will need a patcher to be able to use 3rd party themes and you can get it here

viewtopic.php?f=108&t=5665 (http://virtualcustoms.net/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=5665)

and this one here is to show some of the resources like explorerframe, start orb and shell32 images. Alot of the newer themes here you will need this to be able to see some of the images

and if you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask there is a ton of very helpful people here

Hey nofx1994

Thanks for the reply and assistance lol...

Uhm... Now i might have one more question..? There is no based tutorial explaining how to customize your Windows with themes made here is there..? i gathered there are certain programs that edit certain Windows components, i.e. Logon, Icons, Taskbars etc.. So we don't exactly have a program here that we can do everything with..?

I've also downloaded the "Snow Leopard Skin" and opened the .rar file and saw a whole lot of files within folders, now are those the resources that we use in "certain" programs to edit..?

Sorry about all the - might be confusing questions, I just want to get customization fever... lol if you know what i mean, basically understand how this all works before i start making my own themes a i am a Graphics Designer myself...

Thanks again by the way...

well as far as a tutorial for building a theme you will need a few tools

1. windows style builder http://vistastylebuilder.com/download.html

2. some sort of image modification program like paint.net(which is free) or adobe photoshop

3. Dave Seniors WSB Tutorial viewtopic.php?f=63&t=2139 (http://virtualcustoms.net/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=2139)

and this here will be quite a bit to get your started and we have a help section for building themes here viewforum.php?f=63 (http://virtualcustoms.net/viewforum.php?f=63) or here viewforum.php?f=116 (http://virtualcustoms.net/viewforum.php?f=116)

the apprentice badge really has nothing to do with your experience level its based on number of post you have, once you reach a certain number of posting you get a new badge. There also different badge for groups also like member, vc vip, vc ninja, etc those you have to be invited into by admin
