With the release of Internet Explorer 10 Platform Preview 1, Microsoft has made its very clear that Internet Explorer 10 will only support Windows 7 and 8. Windows XP and Vista users are out of luck.
If you try to install the Platform Preview build in XP or Vista, you get following message:
Windows Internet Explorer Platform Preview does not support any operating system earlier than Windows 7.
Also if you read the Release Notes carefully, its mentioned there as well:
The Internet Explorer Platform Preview requires Windows 7 (x86 or x64) Operating System. Platform Preview 4 and later require updates to be installed on Windows 7 systems, after which your computer will require a restart.
What do you think about this surprising decision of Microsoft? Are you still using XP or Vista?
