How would I set an image inside the places list of the start menu where Computer and documents are. Like this for example?

Step 1 - download and install this aplication
you use 32 bit windows,install x32 bit version and for 64 bit,pls install x64 bit

Step 2 - open windows location
c/windows/resources/themes and your theme
Step 3 - add here new folder name - Shell32.dll
Step 4 - open this folder and copy/paste here your file
Step 5 - rename your file to 633

I am talking about the Start Menu not Shell32.

yes,yes Shell32.dll file replace your original start menu left bar
you use team viewer,i can replace this file for you

Nova So what you want to do is: Where like My Computer/ Games/ Doc/ ect are or where it displays the program that you used recently.

I am using that guide but it does not cover how to work out sizing margins as I think thats the problem :(

NoVa i have a couple of threads in this section http://virtualcustoms.net/forumdisplay.php/911-Start-Menu you may want to look at. I have managed to do that a couple of times but only under the left side of the start menu

Set the image properties to tile and set the sizings margins to 0 on the left and then the full width for the right -1, so for example if your image is 500x250 then set the sizing margins 0, 249, 20, 400 or something like that and see how you go
