We do not have anything as neat as a castle here.
But we do have a restored frontier cabin from 1839 in our town park.

Along with a very nice old courthouse that is believed to hold a worlds record
Erected in 1912
It has the largest single piece limestone columns in the world on the north and south facings.
They are 35ft tall and weigh a massive 30 tons each.

The Castle Rock in Tønsberg was a political power center, boat space for conflict, and the pilgrimage place. The curtain wall, wide living room and brick citadel is listed by Sverreætten
the period 1243-1319. Under Haakon Haakonsen and Magnus Lagabøter castle was the largest castle in Norway. Princess Kristina's in the bottom of the hill at the southern entrance. The princess was the daughter of King Haakon Haakonsen and Queen Margrethe. She traveled to Spain to marry King Alfonso's brother, in the year 1257. She died young in Spain.
