Vista was good for the hardware it was designed for (maybe a 6 month span), and I can't say I dislike 8. Sure, the Metro UI is, erhm, something else(?), but it is targeted towards tablets and touch screens, which is what is hot right now and where new hardware is going towards. People didn't like Aero when it first launched, but now we're begging for it to stay. You can't say that an Operating System is shit without actually testing it and playing with it. Who knows, maybe in a year or so the only things that you will see here are going to be W8 skins
