So I decided that the next stage was to replace the system tray icons for my W7 64 bit build. Thanks again to Mr. Grim for the AWESOME/EPIC themes. Currently I am using the Blade theme and I love it. However, I cannot for the life of me get the system tray icons to change. I tried just replacing the .dll files in both system32 and sysWOW64 folders. I tried the Windows 7 tray icon changer program, still no luck. So I took ownership and opened the .dlls with resource hacker and saved the originals. Then I changed them in icofx and then replaced the "original" with the new ones. Still I am unable to get it to work. After a little while though the white ones appear. So I am completely stuck and was wondering if anyone had any ideas. If I can get it to work I will create some more icons for them. I only created the action center which is basically the same only dark, with a little bit fading, not just flat black. Any help would be appreciated, and thanks again!

hi bud :)

after you replace the icons in the dll or change them do you clean the icon cache in the os if you don't even after a reboot they will still be the same as windows caches the icons in memory

here is a fix I made that will add the clear icons cache to your right click menu just follow the instructions inside its very simple that will solve your issue :)

Sorry for the long time since responding. Nothing seems to have worked. I have tried multiple times and ways. I think that the easiest solution is just to not have them even show. Problem solved. I use rainmeter anyways so there really is no need to have them in the tray. If I do eventually find a way then I will be sure to post it. Thanks anyways though!
