MysticThumbs View Psd's, AEP, AI files in windows explorer

I am sure like many of you after installing photoshop cs6 I was upset to find that adobe took away the ability to see previews of psd's in the open psd window in photoshop.

Well fret no more I have run across a simple freeware install that changes all that MysticThumbs.


Mystic Thumbs 1.98 (last freeware version)
OS: Windows 7, Vista and Windows XP, support - x86 and x64.
The definitive image thumbnail generator for Windows Explorer.
MysticThumbs generates thumbnails of many image types not natively supported by Windows. It does this transparently and in the background for Explorer so you don't have to run a seperate application to preview your images.
It is a native Windows Explorer plugin which means you don't have to do anything other than install it. This means you don't have any new interfaces to learn, think about or otherwise deal with.

hey, i am using windows 8 pro X64. and this version of mysticthumbs did not work for me.

i have tried mysticthumbs before(latest trial version) on my previous windows 8 X64(which was beta)

does this version(1.98) work with windows 8? or is there any alternative? i am trying to get back the thumbnail preview for psd files.

Hi Bud :)

Unfortunately windows 8 is not a supported os for this version it was the last free version they did of the app before it became a paid application.

When I was checking after adobe had removed this ability in the new photoshop and was able to find a number of others that do this as well problem is none of the apps are free versions like this you need to buy them.
