Hello Forum,

this will be a integration of Mr Grim Add or Remove blur (http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/32012-Add-or-Remove-Blur-from-all-of-the-Start-Menu?p=176332&viewfull=1#post176332) thread, because i discovered how to keep Search box, as shown attached beneath.... help masters....

now let's start:

Modify images i will list beneath, removing all white color with the gray around it (so you'll get the same gradient windows color everywhere) or choose one of your choice(harder to do, result may vary because you have to use color opacity and intensity in PS)

Start Menu > Panels > Aero > Top > MorePrograms, MoreProgramsExtended, ProgramsList, ProgramsListExtended, PlacesList, PlacesListExtended, Logoff, LogoffExtended, NSCHost, OpenBox, OpenBoxExtended, SearchView and MoreResults

Thanks to Mr Grim follow this steps:
Add all these properties and make them checked and remove any CompositedOpaque:Bool properties

Start Menu > Menus > Aero > Link > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > EmptyMarkup > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > ListView > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > PlaceList:ListView > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > KeyBoard:TreeView > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > Hover:TreeView > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > StartMenuCompositedMFU::ListView > Composited:Bool
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > TopMatchComposited::ListView > Composited:Bool

then add this property:
Start Menu > Panels > Aero > Top > OpenBox > ContentMargins:Margins 0, -1000, -1000, -1000

OK, at this point you'll get a big white area Round the search box on Start menu covering entire Open Box part of the start menu, to remove this, go to:

Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > <1>

and delete all in that image making just a transparent one with no gradient.

Save with WSB and test, this will bring you the result shown above, remains the black stripe where the text is (change color to white, better) that i cannot manage to remove....:td:
Any ideas you Masters?

Enjoy guys

Hey,

off course you have to replace all images related to start menu, removing the white color only:

What is to be confused for?

If you already are a themer, you'll understand what we are talking about...
If you are at beginning, read a few tutorials first, try by your own with a new theme, read carefeully Dave's Senior guide (http://http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/28810-Complete-Guide-to-Theme-Building?p=166203&viewfull=1#post166203) about Margins, this will clear all your doubts......

PS, the content margins values[in this case] are just matter of trying(noone can perfectly explain how it works...) to obtain that "effect", at sight seems senseless, but i think we are just talking about a "bug".....:Peace:

but, well this has been discussed many times so...
