This is my entry for Clash of the Titans 6, I decided to do this style a bit different from my usual dark style themes, this time I decided to make a theme that has complete usability for all applications and make a theme that is clean and crisp and can be used every day.

The theme does not come with any extras aside from what you will get with Theme Resource Changer installed and there is no installers for this theme, just extract it from the archive and put the theme in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes then apply it.

Simplicity is the key with this theme and what you see is what you get.

As some have commented on deviantART, you really should design some more minimal themes. There's a whole portion of the art community that go for the minimal styles like 'Placebo', 'Appows', etc....and, as good as you are, you'd surely come up with some killer designs.
This one is great. If I had to list one thing that I'm not that crazy about, it would be the user-image in the start menu. You might should have 'bool'd' that.
Anyway, thanks for hookin us all up with another cool creation!:givahand:

I hate to ask for help, but i think i need it.

I haven't noticed any problems with the theme, it was the first theme in a long time that I started completely fresh from the Aero theme to avoid any issues that I might have got from the dark themes, the file size is smaller then the default theme as well so it should not cause any extra load at all.

Is this the first theme you have tried, have you tried any other themes or and more of my themes?

What did you use to patch your system, Universal Theme Patcher or something else?

Have you down any windows updates as of lately like maybe service pac1?
A lot of people had issues with uxstyle core after updating to it. That is why we have been recommending universal theme patcher these days

UxStyle Core can cause probs depending on what you have installed or how you've tweaked your system. i personally avoid it like the plague. install universal theme patcher and resource hacker.

I always install Windows Updates. I think the last time was the big patch on the second Tuesday of the month. (Like every month)

I was wondering why people stopped suggesting it. I like it better. Personally it gets VERY annoying re-patching my system after i remove 7tsp icon packs, EVERY time. :sigh:
I have been using it for a while. Never had an issue with it before. Has been working on my laptop for at least 6 months, no issues at all.
However i am willing to switch, if i can confirm that it is at fault.
Its looking like its theme related though. I think its something with the GPU or the GPU drivers.
Freezes while only gaming.


I have been using HUD for 24 hours. No crashes or freezes.
Even while gaming. Planetside 2, BF3, Crysis 2. No issues
Going to test with TX4 for 24 hours now.

AMD just released a new driver and that fixed the issue.
No freezing, all is good now.

with theme resource changer you dont need to patch explorer.exe

you can just change the 3 png files in the explorer.exe folder in the theme directory.

are you trying to use a start orb changer? they require bmp format, don't use a changer open the the theme folder and change the images in the explorer.exe and let theme resource changer change it for you it uses png format.

Hi there ...this is a bitmap image ....you can change this image to png file ...just find a site with google to change it to png then rename them just to the numbers...you dont need to put .png :peace:

well bud thats because the dude used a black background when he made the orb you will need to remove the black background and add a transparent background it different using the png format from bmp. bmp will have a black background if not they will not appear correctly because of the way windows reads those formats but png should be transparent backgrounds

I didn't know how to contact you by another way ...
There is a lot of VERY (VERY VERY) good, great and awesome dark theme on virtual customs BUT they are amlmost all DARK !
I wish one day, somebody can make a great withe/clear/light theme (an exemple of what I mean : bit DOT ly slash 17Au1yE), not a very dark with a lot of black and not a pseudo-light theme with a lot of grey wich is more dark than is light.
I could be cool :) :Smile:
