The best way to open Control Panel in XP, Vista, and Windows 7 was to open Start menu and click on Control Panel (http://www.intowindows.com/apple-magic-trackpad-control-panel-for-windows-7/) button. Now that Start menu has been removed in Windows 8, launching Control Panel is not one click job.
