Annoying Laptop Hardware Beep need workaround fix

I have an HP m6-1105dx laptop with Win8. This model is real nice except when the first battery alert pops up (12% charge). At this time the laptop starts makeing a very loud beep on a 20 second or so interval. If I turn off the volume for my sound the beep is dampened but still audible. I've found that if I disable my Speakers and Headphones playback device right at 12% it wont start beeping. Even if the the device is re-enable after that point it wont beep.

I looked for how to just turn it off, but the only thing I've learned is that only the business models were built with that ability.




So, is there an easy way to make a script or program that can detect the that the battery is low, then disable (and possible re-enable) the device?

I can't.
1. I don't have Win8 Pro (I heard you have to have this to go back to Win7):crying:
2. This has something to do with that models hardware/Bios. I don't think it has much to do with the OS. (I think m6 modles with Win7 have the same problem)

Thats should be in your system sounds or default sound scheme go to control panel then click hardware and sound on the left

under sound click change system sounds

it should be the one named low battery for the sound u can click the arrow and change that to none then there will be no sound for it.

alternative way would be when the sound happens again go to the same place as listed above if its not the low battery one ( I am almost 100% sure it should be that one ) but if its another just disable them one by one till u find the one that makes the beep and leave it as none for the sound u won't be bothered by it anymore :)

You misunderstand, it is not a Windows sound. Disabling the sound scheme doesn't do anything. This beep is always at max volume unless I hit the mute button, then it is a slightly muffled beep. It is a hardware sound, which can only be disabled (as far as I've found) by disabling the playback device to the main speaker. Also my current sound scheme is a customized version of Equinox's Scheme.
