It is recomended to install this on a clean system just like using the 7tsp installer with the theme extras it will not replace any system files, it will only add the modifications to your existing files and at the same time make backups of your files, so if you do have some mods already it should not effect those, unless one of the mods you have is one of the things listed above.

The complete Theme Installers were tested on my x86 and x64 VM and my main x64 Windows 7 Ultimate machine and installed without any problems.

If you install the shell32.dll theme extras and find you have lost your sound or if you are using a Creative Sound Card you will need to use Restore on the installer by starting the installer and deslecting all the check boxes, you will then be taken to the post install options and have the option to restore a single file, select the shell32.dll and then after it completes restart to take effect.

For some reason Creative sound cards do not like any changes to the shell32.dll and there is no way to get around that, the only thing that you will miss out on will be a few icons and the copy delete animation mod, nothing major and you will still have a great experience without them.

Im not sure why thats happening. I had no problem running the installer. if I was you I would open command prompt and run sfc/scannow. Let that run and reboot. This is completely safe to do, after you reboot your going to have to patch your system again and install theme resource changer. But both of them are in the intaller so you should be able to just check those boxes and run the intaller. Try this it will give you a clean install of the theme. Hopefully this fixes your issue. let me know I will be on all night.

Not sure why the theme patcher is not working but I can answer your first question, there are some folder that have thumbnails showing that didn't change because my installer only deleted the icon cache and not the thumbnail cache, I am working on a fix for this and think I may have fixed it now, not sure if there is a better way to do this, if anyone know then please share.

I restored my computer back to before I loaded this theme and then I reinstalled the theme again after I downloaded it again. Then I ran the Icon Fix file and I still have blue folders from the other HUD theme and when I try to run 7tsp I get the same pop up saying- "A device attached to the system is not functioning."

I did close all programs and plugged my phone from the computer but still have folders that will not change to green and 7tsp will not run now.

Any ideas guys?

Yeah I would recommend installing it on fresh system files but it should still install fine over any existing system files, up to you, try it and if you have any problems do a system restore or run sfc /scannow and install it fresh.

Yes there will be HUD themes for Windows 8 at some point, I have already ported some of them over to Windows 8 but they still need some more testing.

Never was able to get this theme to work with the programs that I was having problems with. i had to restore back to before I installed the theme. I really wish I could use it, but seeing how it keeps messing up my programs I can't use it.

Well I got it with the help of ONEMANARMY and it works great, I even downloaded your Green Glass folders. It looks AWESOME. I made some folders for some that I made for Photoshop and such because there was none but it's running and the other programs are running normal now.

Could someone verify one thing for me please?
The opening post offers a 'Free Icons and Extras Installer', and an 'Alternative 7tsp Icons and Extras Pack'.
The difference is only one installs using 7tsp, and the other with an EXE method, is this correct? (Same icons, extras, etc.)

Also I downloaded the Winrar theme, but it does not auto install when you click on the archive.
Was it meant to be that way?
I know it can still be added manually in my Winrar Appdata folder, but in case anyone is interested it's real easy to make it auto install.
If you open the parent folder and select all, right click and select 'Add to Archive',

Hammer the extra should be the same exe or 7tsp that Mark put together the only difference is the install method
For the winrar theme I believe that was put together by someone besides Mark, he would not need to recolor anything as stated in the post so I'm not sure who did those.
Basicly anything in the first post listed below the icon extra has been created by someone else and just added to mark main post to make it easier to find.

Actually that was added by me lol and I didn't know you could make the installer like that, thanks for the info mate and glad you are enjoying the theme, as for the icon packs, yes the same icons are used although there are a few small differences and extras that you will only get with the exe like the top and bottom shell options as well as the option to change the logon background.

I waited awhile to install this after I purchased and downloaded, and when I looked at my saved stuff I thought I had some duplication I didn't need.

I get this {Patched with restorator 2007 Trial} Above every mui image that i have installed and {http://www.bome.com restorator} on every right click on folders or just right clicking the desk top..This has just happened as i just installed the new mui images by gor and recolored by onemanarmy.Is this normal??? I have never seen that happen before but i dont use restorator to install my mui's i use 7tsp
When you installed restorator did you allow any files to be associated with restorator as i believe that may me your problem. i never associate anything with it

well..I never used restorator to install the mui's. I just downloaded them,unzipped them,took ownership with the nifty "take ownership tool included" renamed the originals to .old and replaced them.Then i rebooted.Everything went smooth.I never had that problem the last time i installed them either.I dont even have restorator installed on my system..lol.Is ok.is cool.I think im gonnah try it again,only without the "take ownership tool".Thats the only thing i have done different.

I'm willing to bet the situation is caused by the fact that you're running the Restorator 2007 version, and in trial-mode. You should search for the 2009 version......better yet, Ima send you a pm now..

I too am holding my breath for the blue version and need it in time for the start of the NFL reguar season as it would match my favorite sports teams franchise colors and current custom log on screen. Hopefully Mark won't keep us HUD Machine theme addicted fans waiting too much longer to purchase it bro!

I can't wait either :whistle:and have reverted back to using Mr. Grim's HUD Evolution as a base :cheeky:with all the blue extras from the HUD Machine in order to go blue, but right now I'm rockin the red extras from the HUD Machine thread on top of either the Mr. Grim's HUD Apocalypse or razoredge's Hardwired (red) base as I like to flip flop between the two regularly :bunny2:with a custom red bootscreen, log on screen (Digital Circuits [red]) and wallpaper to match my red and black Toshiba Satellite Laptop. :Peace:

No the Basebrd.dll is only for the logon screen branding at the bottom, to edit it you will need to get a resource hacker like Restorator and replace the bitmap image, to remove the Icon and extras pack you will need to do as I said on the previous answer I gave you on the other thread, run sfc /scannow this will restore all your system files to default, alternatively use the restore point that was created by the installer to restore to an earlier time.

Have you confirmed this is actually a problem with the theme, have you tried using another theme, I use CS5 for everything and I have never had a problem with a theme changing the colors of my work and it should never be the case, are you sure you haven't changed any of the preferences or settings in Photoshop?

sorry bout that probably should have tried switching the theme first. i was quick to jump the gun cause this did not happen till after i installed the theme... and now i'm really unsure as to what's causing it since i switched back to default windows 7 theme and the problem still persists...ah well ill go check google see if i can figure it out =/

Edit: AH HA i figured it out, turns out that the last update that was made to my amd driver (which i did after installing the theme) made this happen in photoshop...makes me wonder why havent they fixed this >.> i just ended up doing this i went into Edit-prefrences-performance-advanced settings- and turned off advanced drawing....meh it works *shrugs* better then rolling back my driver i guess.

Hey friend. Sorry to say, But some area's in themes on win 7 just are like that. Its kinda a sacrifice for having the darker themes. In some area's the text cannot be changed, and the fill color is set to match the themes. So its just how it is. Most of the time Theme builders will try and set the fill colors just dark enough to still read the text. Sorry.

Cool. Sorry about the sound Scheme. I usually dont care for any sounds. SO I go to Control Panel/ Sound / and in the drop down menu I select No Sound. and Apply. This disables all sounds. accept I do believe. If your using a 7tsp pack that has changed the start up and Logoff Sound that will still be enabled.

You need to install theme resource Changer.

u need UniversalThemePatcher or something like that

and if u want transparent Themes transparent u need Full glass.exe or something like that

than u need to patch your system with the ThemePatcher
install the Theme Resource Chager
and maybe start the Full Glas.exe

after this u have to restart your system and then the theme should work

It should have done all the work if you had all the correct boxes checked, if you had them all checked though that may be a problem, some of those options were one or the other type options like the top shell or bottom shell and the folderband top or bottom, also there were 2 options for the theme resource changer needed to change the start button and Control panel navigation panes, there was a x86 and a x64 option so if you checked both of them it could have replaced the x64 files with the x86 files and it would not work.

Winrar themes are very easy to install mate, simply if you already have installed Winrar on your OS, double click on Winrar (theme name) theme.rar, click OK. This way you install it in your system, later open winrar, go to Options - Themes - and choose your installed theme! :Peace:

That's right. They all look like any other zip or rar file. The difference is when you click on it you will get a pop up that will ask you if you want to install the theme.
Just select yes and close that window.
Then do what the others above just mentioned. Open the Winrar app and from the toolbar on the top, select Options/Themes and you should see this new theme in that drop down list.:Peace:

Some programs use their own images for windows and controls(which sometimes can be modified by editing the program itself).

The back/forward buttons of Windows Explorer do get changed with this theme though.

I used many door-to-windows programs back in the days. Now I usually just change the theme only but I might give tool a try sometime.

yes there are hud themes for 10. check under Shemhamforash threads. i would suggest installing dhjohns all-in-one-installer first. on dhjohns AIO i suggest you go through the entire thread for all information n using it.

@Smokes Here are The Hud Machine series in many colors for RS1. I would update to RS1 as 2635599 suggested. If you need help just ask.. someone here will try to help if you need it

Very IMPORTANT to read:

I agree that updating Windows to RS1 would be alot easier, just remember to make a complete backup of your C-drive first!! (the harddrive where windows is installed)
I think a Restore Point may do the trick also.
Because updating to RS1 after you have installed UxStyle, UltraUXThemepatcher or ThemeSignatureByPass, can result in a bricked Windows 10 that wont be able to boot up!

unzip this file and copy unzipped hud machine folder to
C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\WinRAR\Themes
you need select (show hidden files folders and drivers) on
open winrar app and click to options themes and select hud machine
