Change Drive Icons

Hey guys I'm running Windows 7 64bit I have patched my files to run custom themes from here, my problem or question is how come I can't change my drive icons to what ever i want them to be? I have looked on the net and found a few ways to change them but they don't work. I have tried to change them using a program called My Drive Icon and that didn't work. I wanna be able to change my drive icons for my external drives but nothing is working. Can someone please show me or tell me how to do this?

Hey Icicle Thief There alot of icons packs on our site that will work for you. Look for 7tsp Icon Packs There are quite a few to choose from. To download them and get them working Please fallow this link and watch the tutorial on how to change your system Icons using 7tsp.

If you want to change the icons on an external drive or usb stick

At the root of the drive make a folder called icon
Place your icon.ico file into folder
Right click the folder select property's\attributes and set as hidden

Open up text editor like notepad and type the following code




[autorun]
icon=icon\icon.ico



Now save the file as all file types with the file name (autorun ) and with the file extentsion ( .inf ) Now you have created a Setup Information (.inf) File

Copy the autorun.inf file to the root of hdd or usb

Right click the autorun.inf file select property's\attributes and set as hidden

So now it should look like this

Icon <Icon Folder>
Autorun.inf <AurtoRun File>

No Disconnect The Drive And Evey Time It Gets Plugged In The Autorun Icon And The Icon In My Computer Will Be The Custom Icon You Set

I used this to change my dvd drive icon, worked great easy and fast. See 2nd link below for SevenDriveIconChanger.

This is what I changed it too, I added the BluRay disc to it nothing else. The icon was made by Mr.Grim it is his not mine. Link below has the icon already changed to an ico.
