Need a good free encrypted web mail service

Can anyone recommend a good, free, encrypted webmail service?

Need a decent amount of space, not a whole lot, but I don't need a Gmail sized account also.

I would also prefer one that does not run through U.S. servers, it's not a must, but I have noticed all the best encrypted webmail providers here in the U.S. are shutting down due to the NSA pressuring them for their encryption keys. So rather than give their clients up they are just going away.

Which is why I was seeing if I could find an encrypted email service hosted outside the U.S., because the ones inside the continental U.S. are dropping like flies.
