Hey everybody, please forgive me for being ignorant about so many things:
I don't really know what the Microsoft .NET Framework does or how
it interacts with windows. I want to install a trial version Camtasia 8
to record a little how-to video but it wants me to update it to 4.0 - I
have 3.5 now. Is this safe, stable, interacts with windows 7 Home well?
Will this cause problems for me if I update it?
All help is Greatly appreciated!

TuraelFA (http://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/251237-TuraelFA), is right you shouldn't have any problems, and yes you should have versions 3.0 - 4.5 installed. there are already programs that require 4.5.

dotnet 4.5

You always want to update that! Keeps things running smoothly! Doesn't cause any problems. Hope that helped :)
