View Full Version : Change custom aero theme to basic theme (not classic)

Right, so... I got a theme that I really like from deviantart called Uniko, my only problem with it is that it uses aero which I hate with a passion. I've asked the creator about a basic version but his response was basically 'too much work'. This got me wondering about changing it into a basic theme using something like Ave Style Builder. How exactly would I go about doing this?

It's possible to edit the theme in Windows Style Builder yeah. Each theme comes with Aero and Basic images. What you can do is use the images from the Aero section in the theme for the Basic ones(so you won't have to create new ones for yourself).
You'll need to edit the .msstyles the theme came with.

Keep in mind that Basic mode doesn't support semi transparent images.
