Would it be possible to install animated icons using something like 7stp? I'd like to see some cool futuristic animated icons, like something for HUD Evolution, (Hint hint Mr GRiM, if it's possible)

sorry, but you now mean animated icons for folders? if yes, then i personally think, that is not possible for 7tsp,because all or some system files as
imageres.dll , shell32.dll , explorer.exe etc uses for working a default system type of file as .ico , bmp , PNG ,excuse me friends,if i'm wrong

Well i was asking cause it's obvious an animated mouse is possible, also there is Rainmeter, plus there is Dreamscene for an animated wallpaper so why not animated icons for folders, WMP, chrome, etc?

Really?

i've been customizing since windows 98 and never seen an animated icon. i also wonder why there are none. maybe it will take too much of the computer's resources i dont know.
as for the animated rocketdock icons i've had a few of those before

Think you can drop me some links? I want something futuristic to go with HUD Evolution (Blue) I will need to download and install Rocketdock but that will be the easy part, i'm using the Neon Space Rainmeter stuff so maybe animated holographic icons and if possible, a dock to go with it

yes, yes,i understand that, but these are all additional and special applications for Windows which were created by the other experienced developers and not of the developers for microsoft, but the other system components, such as icon files, they should not never be in motion, example new Windows 10 technical preview, which is why use it every Windows,Mac or Linux for working the same file type as already mentioned
on Windows can be replaced original icon files, but is not possible to overwrite the Original Name of system files, example explorer.exe to runmyexplorer.exe ,because when you delete this file and then you restart your computer, then you cant run your Windows desktop, only with application task manager / applications / new task / open / browse / windows / ... original ... explorer.exe:girl:

I was talking to Most Wasted about the links, and i'm looking for animated icons, not static ones, I found a Youtube channel that showed off some really cool ones but the link is dead

Where can I get a download for the Rocketdock icons shown in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX0NNa-XtsI I already found the Chrome one but I want to know where the res of them are cause the link on that page is dead

i managed to find only one of the icons from my old backups. its a zip that comes with the animatedshortcut.dll and the image (after installing rocketdock from what i remember, you just put the contents of the zip in the docklets folder of your rocketdock folder)

i got it from rocketdock.com long time ago so if you have trouble making it work just search for that file on the site it should still be there hopefully. instructions wasnt included in the zip, it was on the creator's rocketdock page
