Damn, all these 3D Desktop programs (Like vDock and Desktop X) and either I can't figure out how to work them to get a 3D Desktop or it costs money (**** Bumptop, it doesn't do what i'm looking for) I apologize for my language, it just makes me mad

I think he's just trying to bump-up his post-count. No suggestions for you, except maybe install and master Linux. You can do a lot of cool desktop effects with certain Linux shells, etc.

I personally don't care for 3D type desktop animations and such, but I've known Deema (the dev of Splinter) for a long time and have seen a lot of his 'Slinterface' creations. They're much more customize-able than 2 or 3 videos can touch on. You literally can do almost anything with Splinter. Try it out before jumping to judgement.

Hmmm. I haven't heard from Deema in some months, but if you have a YT account or deviantART account I'd bet you can get ahold of him pretty quickly. Maybe send him an email.
He used to advertise Splinter all over the Internet, at different sites, but as I'm no longer at most of those sites I've lost touch w/him. And since I personally never used Splinter, I can't give you any pointers about the program, config-files, etc.

You wanted something free, though, so I thought of this proggy.

No problem, bro. :peace: I just keep sooooo maaany programs on my computer, programs that are graphics-heavy, that I think some of those 3d thingys would slow me to a crawl. Plus I like to keep my desktop as free from clutter as possible. I use RocketDock, some shortcuts on my taskbar, and one or two gadgets.

Dammit, of course this one ****s up on me, I chose an interface to start with and it's not working for me, in fact sometimes I can't select anything on my desktop, sometimes I can't use my taskbar, and my alt-tab menu shows some windows are open but they're invisible. What gives, does it conflict with custom theme configs?
