About (http://www.syssel.net/hoefs/software_uxtheme.php?lang=en#one)

Many people know from experience, that the Windows design is nice, but sooner or later it will become boring and you wish to have a different design. And here is the problem, because to use 3. Party themes you have to modify some system files, which is not everybody's thing, or buy expensive software. All this has now an end because the UltraUXThemePatcher for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 (for 32bit and 64bit version) can do this automatically for you. Fast, free and without problems, because if your version should not be supported, the tool will recognize this and changes nothing.
Note: This application make changes to your system files, this can lead to unexpected problems or total breakdown of Windows!
I am interested in any kind of feedback!

Problem - Windows Updates broke various files (Windows 8)
After an update on Windows 8 the UxThemePatcher does not work anymore. How do I fix it?
Please use the latest versions available, there this problem was solved!
Problem - After uninstalling on Windows 8, the monitor remains black after restart
Every time I try to uninstall your application on Windows 8 or higher the monitor remains black after the restart. How can I fix this?
Before uninstalling always a standard Windows theme should be selected. Thereafter the uninstallation should be started. Is this too late, only a repair installation (inplace upgrade) or a complete new installation helps.
Problem - Completely undo changes
I want to completely undo the changes done through the application. How do I do it best?
First, always a standard Windows theme should be set, otherwise it may cause problems when booting (see problem 2). Thereafter, the application should simply be removed through software -> uninstall. All backups will be restored so the original files are back!
Problem - Display errors in the taskbar after update to Windows 8.1.
After upgrading to Windows 8.1, there are display errors when right clicking on the applications in the taskbar. How can I fix this?
Themes of Windows 8 are not compatible with Windows 8.1. Therefore, please contact the developer of the theme, I can not help you here!
Problem - SFC.exe finds modified system files
After check with system file checker modified systems files are found. Why is that the case?

UltraUXThemePatcher works that way! It modifies your system files to make 3rd party themes available. If you do not wnat this, you can not use my application, sorry!

Not for anything but if not just for the problems that surround this because it never works or uninstalls the way intended I have began using Big Muscles UxThemeSignatureBypass, it works great and you don't have to freak every time you do Windows Updates because there is no need to uninstall it because it doesn't modify anything that Windows needs to update.

I have experienced all three of the problems listed above at one time or another while using this and I can tell you first hand the instructions do not work , every single time I had to uninstall or make changes while using Ultra UxTheme it almost always resulted in doing a refresh or at worst case a clean install to get things back to normal, now I do not know if the problems have been addressed properly in the current version but I'm also not really interested in finding out.

The problems with this software are not addressed nearly quick enough, they are the same problems that were there when Windows 8 was released and now we are on the verge of Windows 10 being released and he just decides to address those problems now? NAH, Big Muscle is onto something that works MUCH better.

I've been using Big Muscles UxThemeSignatureBypass for a few months now and have had ZERO problems, even when installing Windows Updates.

I haven't tried Big Muscle's software yet (is it free, or does it watermark your desktop pending 'donations' like his Aero Glass?), but I've been using UXTheme Multi-patcher for over a year now and have had no problems. Unlike UltraUX, it merely runs as a service.....no black screens, no crashes, no BSODs. I had major issues when I used UltraUX, before I started using UXTheme Multi-patcher.

Since I'm not a big fan of BM's stuff, I think I'll stick with UXTheme Multi-patcher. It's here: http://www.windowsxlive.net/uxtheme-multi-patcher/

Thank you Moon for the post. Probably a dumb question, but should i restore files changed by universal theme patcher and uninstall theme resource changer before installing this? I'm sure it's a must but asking anyway. Thanks to all!

It is absolutely free, no donations, no watermarks.

BTW, I've also had similar problems with the Windowsxlive UxTheme Patcher also, not quite as often as UxTheme but the problems are still there, I guess because it uses the same source code.

This the correct link? http://www.glass8.eu/files/UxThemeSignatureBypass.7z

I downloaded it, extracted the 7z file, and got 2 .dll files, no instructions. Even though I know how to register the .dll files and where to place them, he really ought to have included a ReadMe for people who don't. Like I said, not a big fan of BM's stuff...so I'ma stick with the UXTheme Multi-patcher service. Thanks for posting however.

Sorry dude, yes you are right, he should have included instructions on his site, however you can find his install instructions here: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170945-uxtheme-signature-bypass/

Make sure you read through the whole thread, he really needs to make an installer for this.
