I been working on the template making it suit my needs as I go along.
Ive also been doing a lot of heavy modding on some of the cms plugins to also suit the websites needs.

I may have missed the point but id suggest looking at

https://ifttt.com/ im sure some of those recipies could come in useful ;)

For your forum personally id stick to using one of the free mainstream boards, such as phpbb, smf etc
