glow / caption buttons

Can anyone help me, please ?!
I'm using the attached visual style ( OS X like ) and i want to add some glow for the caption buttons, have no idea how to do that ( see image, as an example )
Is that possible ?

to my knowledge,there is no property that brightens images.
the only thing you can do is apply glow to your image in photoshop

I have no idea how to apply glow with Photoshop.
There must be a way to have the buttons, like the the image above
