Airlock ported to Windows 10 by permission of Gor

This theme has been modified by me to make it work with Windows 10 plus a bit of tinkering because I just cant help myself.

Here is what it will look like on Windows 10, enjoy

71718

Update 23/12/2015:Theme updated to fix a small problem with the Context menu I noticed after I disabled the immersive desktop context menu and also included 2 new red styles, first one just has red instead of the blue images, v2 has the same but also lots of the text also changed to red, there is also a few extras included, including a new clock, note that you will need to use Winaerotweaker to enable the old style clock.

Wow, i'm really really happy with this theme. I only got this small issue:

Is it possible to change the Blue color in it, to Red?
If i select something it has a small blue frame around it..
And the text in RecoveryPoint window is highlighted with blue color.

Edit: I managed to change the highlighted blue text to red, by using WSB.
Tried to change every blue color in it, to red (took some time) ....but i still have that thin blue frame when i select something?? Damn :'(

Any help would be appreciated :)

When ONE is not installed the panel is not themed. What do you suggest the problem is caused by instead.

not sure. all i've been doing on 10 is patching, rebooting, adding my theme(s), and choosing which theme to run. i've run into that a couple of times but for me corrects itself after a reboot or 2. once i know i'm not going to hose the os patching and using custom themes i add oldnew, statisback, and whatever icon pack i want.

I don't think it has anything to do with ONE.

When images do not show up in the Control Panel and the This PC Properties page it's the shellstyle.dll file included with the theme in the shell folder that is the culprit. That's the file that controls those images. It's happened to me once or twice, for whatever reason the file craps out once in a while, more often if you happen to change themes alot.

What I normally do is steal the shellstyle.dll file from HUD Evolution or Windows Black Edition and overwrite the shellstyle.dll in the theme and it fixes it. For whatever reason, Grim's shellstyle.dll files seem to be alot more stable than the others.

Even though we are now able to completely theme Windows 10 it still doesn't play well with certain files and you have to "slap it around" a little to get it to work. Windows 7 was by far the best and easiest to theme.

What is it that you do to the shellstyle.dll file Grim? because nine times out of ten your shellstyle.dll file will be the only one that works on ports to Windows 10.

I noticed that he didn't have the Hide Up (Go to parent folder) option checked in OldNewExplorer due to the white arrow so he must not have had his settings the same as in the screen grab (or was using another ribbon disabler tool).

The only thing that ONE does is make Windows Explorer look and feel more like Windows 7 meaning it gets rid of the Windows 10 ribbon, as far as I know it does not do or control anything in the Control Panel, especially the sidebar, I may be wrong but I still think it has to do with the shellstyle.dll

Did you check the post that I linked? I would have agreed with you a while ago but I learned that without ONE installed basically control panel is not themeable besides some color backgrounds. It's not possible to skin the side and top navigation panels in control panel without it installed.
Here is proof @The Nude Dude and @Dark Knight:

OldNewExplorer is installed:
73190
73191

OldNewExplorer is not installed:
73192
73193

This is without making any changes to the shellstyle.dll. Try for yourself and you will see thet same resuslts.

Dark Knight (http://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/199178-Dark-Knight) is right you have to slap it around a little sometimes. as for control panel not being themeable with one installed i've never had that problem on any of the 3 view settings for control panel.

What's a theme that doesn't display a white background for parts of control panel without ONE installed? I just checked with some themes that would seem to have a plain color background rather than an image and they still display white panels. Mr GRiM said that ONE is needed to theme those.

grim must include one then cause i'm running his black v3 and everything i click on in the control panel is themed. all i did was patch, restart, add the theme, restart, add my icon pack, restart, check control panel and comp properties and everything was themed. then i did startisback and one.

Yep all the white areas are now themed in the msstyles on my themes but they wont work unless your running ONE that uses the modified UI files included in the shellstyle.dll

Hi, Awsome theme and thank you very much for all the themes you made and ported over to win 10.

I am pretty sure its impossible to brink a pc just by messing about with the OS. Brink is mostly on smart phones. If pc dont work right then we can restore it or reinstall windows. PC's as far as i know can only get brinked if you screw up the bios...
Quostion : Have i misunderstood what is ment by brink ?

To "brick" your system is possible when messing with custom themes, cause you have to read and follow the "how to succeed.."

Look very carefully when you read this for an example:
For November Update only!! TH2 AKA 1511 AKA 10586 Only!!

That means if you try using this theme on anything else, you computer will be a "brick" no doubt!!

So the most important thing is to make a complete backup of the drive where your OS is installed..and making a restore point is not a bad idea either..
Then you can mess things up just as you like and even get some experience too ;)

it is ENTIRELY possible to "brink" brick your system ANYTIME you tinker with any files.
