Hello, I've been trying to fully disable Cortana on my computer. Until now I thought turning it off in taskbar was working but today i noticed that it is still running in the background

I've tried clicking the end task via task manager but the program always starts back up just moments later. I'm believing that it may be what keeps disabling my built in Intel HD Graphics chipset and I need to turn it of so it will stop doing so. I can get the chipset driver back on easily enough but it's a pain to have to keep doing so over and over again just because Cortana keeps disabling it. [Basically i keep getting the code 43 issue and have to uninstall the driver and check for hardware changes to fix it every time.] Can someone please help me disable Cortana in Windows 10 TH2?

Here you go

Right click the Uninstall Cortana.cmd file and select "Run as Administrator".

Darkwater409 (http://virtualcustoms.net/member.php/280551-Darkwater409) do you want to completely disable it or simply make is so it only searches your machine and not the internet? try these.

This didn't remove Cortana. Now it has 2 separate cortana services running in the background

Start / Settings / voice-privacy, ink and writing / and disable the option "stop recognize"

OK before I posted it I tried it on TH2 and it worked I have no Cortana process in task manager maybe try it again by running as admin and have this file in the same location then reboot?

Soz for lack of response. I was actually trying to remove it because it kept disabling my Intel HD Graphics Display driver via a code 43 issue. Apparently some friends from a game i play had the same issue and had to completely remove Cortana to fix that issue so I was trying to remove it as well. Either way, it's gone now. Shemhamforash's suggestion worked perfectly [despite a bit of a dunce issue on my end, lol :cheeky:]
